Lunamatrona is a town and comune (municipality) in the Province of Medio Campidano in the autonomous island region of Sardinia in Italy, located about 50 kilometres (31 mi) northwest of Cagliari and about 9 kilometres (6 mi) north of Sanluri, in the inner Marmilla plain. It has 1,582 inhabitants.[2]
Lunamatrona borders the municipalities of Collinas, Pauli Arbarei, Sanluri, Siddi, Villamar, and Villanovaforru.
Demographics
As of 2026, the population is 1,582, of which 48.7% are male, and 51.3% are female. Minors make up 10.4% of the population, and seniors make up 35.3%.[2]
