St. Johns Technical High School was a public high school located in St. Augustine, Florida. The school closed before the 2026-2027 school year as a cost saving measure in response to a budget shortfall.[2]

"St. Johns Technical High School serves the district as a "School of Choice". "The school was created in 2004 and was designed to provide our district's at-risk students an academic program matched with technical training in a smaller, more personalized learning environment for the purpose of effecting a successful post-secondary career transition."[3]

The site of St. Johns Technical High School will soon become the new site of Gaines Alternative School. It is supposed to be done during the 2026-2027 school year, but no set date of the change has been assigned. This change was also presented in February 2026 by the superintendent as part of changes due to the budget shortfall.

Students who attended St. Johns Technical High School were either sent back to their zoned school or put into St. Augustine High School's Early College Program.
