Shenghong Holding Group Co., Ltd. (Chinese: 盛虹控股集团有限公司), also known as Shenghong Group, is a privately owned Chinese industrial energy Conglomerate headquartered in Suzhou, Jiangsu.[1] Founded in 1992, the group operates an integrated industrial processing chain encompassing petroleum refining, petrochemicals, advanced materials, chemicals and high-end textiles.[1][2] Shenghong was ranked 161st in the 2025 Fortune Global 500, reporting revenue of US$78.6 billion and profit of US$401.4 million and was the 41st largest manufacturing company in the world, as well as the 40th largest company in China.[3] It subsequently ranked 44th in the 2026 Fortune China 500, based on 2025 revenue of US$81.81 billion and profit of US$491.4 million.[4]
History
Shenghong was established in 1992 in Shengze, a textile manufacturing centre within Suzhou, and initially operated in the printing and dyeing industry before expanding upstream into chemical fibres, petrochemicals and petroleum refining.[2] It entered the Fortune Global 500 for the first time in 2020, when it was one of three companies from Suzhou included in the ranking.[5] The group's integrated Lianyungang refinery began trial operations in May 2022, as one of three large private refining projects supported by the State Council of the People's Republic of China.[6][7] Shenghong began operating several of the complex's petrochemical units and shipped its first batch of refined petroleum products in November 2022.[8]
In September 2023, Eastern Shenghong signed a preliminary cooperation agreement under which Saudi Aramco considered acquiring a minority interest in the group's refining and petrochemical business and supplying crude oil to the complex.[9]
In June 2026, Shenghong shut the 320,000 barrel per day Lianyungang refinery for a planned major overhaul lasting approximately two months.[10] The refinery was expected to resume operations in mid-August amid disruption to Asian petroleum supplies and unusually high regional refining margins.[11]

The group's principal listed business is Jiangsu Eastern Shenghong Co., Ltd., whose shares are traded on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange under stock code 000301.[12] Eastern Shenghong produces refined petroleum products, petrochemical and chemical materials, polyester filament and other chemical fibres for domestic and overseas markets.[12]
The group has major industrial bases in Suzhou, Lianyungang and Suqian, with its refining and petrochemical operations concentrated at the Lianyungang Petrochemical Industry Plant.[2][13] It's Lianyungang complex includes an integrated refinery capable of processing 16 million tonnes of crude oil annually, equivalent to approximately 320,000 barrels per day.[6] The facility also produces terephthalic acid, xylenes, ethylene, ethylene glycol and ethylene oxide.[13]
