Cadent Therapeutics developed plazinemdor (CAD‐9303; Figure 9), an oral NMDA receptor PAM, to target cognitive deficits and negative symptoms in patients with schizophrenia.76 In 2021, a phase 1 clinical trial (NCT04306146) was conducted to assess its safety and tolerability among patients with schizophrenia and healthy volunteers; however, no results have been reported thus far.
