Maxisingle (stylized as MaxiSingle) is the first extended play (EP) by Mexican recording artist Paulina Rubio, released on October 30, 1995, in Mexico and the United States by EMI México.[2] A digital edition of the EP was subsequently made available on worldwide streaming architectures in January 2005.[3] The project contains seven tracks: "Pobre Niña Rica", which served as the official theme song for the Mexican telenovela of the same name in which Rubio also starred, alongside three club remixes of "Te Daría Mi Vida" and three remixes of "Nada De Ti".[4] Both base tracks were originally issued on Rubio's third studio album, El Tiempo Es Oro (1995).[4]
The electronic production layout and remix tracking on the record were engineered by Alejandro "Midi" Ortega.[2] The physical CD and cassette distribution of the EP was scheduled alongside the launch of Rubio's first regional compilation album, Grandes Éxitos/Versiones Remix, which was issued exclusively across South American retail markets by EMI Colombia to summarize the main singles from her first three studio albums.[5]
