Daisuke Yokota (横田 大祐, Yokota Daisuke; born 15 June 2000) is a Japanese professional footballer who plays as a right winger for Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

Early life

Yokota moved from Japan to Europe at the age of eighteen.[1]

Career

Yokota played for Latvian side Valmiera, where he was regarded as one of the club's most important players.[2]

Yokota joined 1. FC Kaiserslautern on loan on 30 August 2024.[3] He was subsequently loaned out to Hannover 96 for the 2025–26 season.[4]

The move to Hannover was made permanent for the following season;[5] however, instead of staying in Hannover, Yokota chose to join Rangers, signing a three-year contract on 5 August 2026.[6][7]

Style of play

Yokota mainly operates as a midfielder or winger and is known for his dribbling ability.[8]
