The 2026 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship final was a hurling match played at Croke Park in Dublin on 19 July 2026 between Galway and Limerick,[3][4] the culmination of the 2026 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship. It was the 139th final of that sport's primary competition, the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship.
Limerick won the match on a scoreline of 1–29 to 1–11, it was their sixth All-Ireland title since 2018.[5][6][7]
The match was televised nationally on RTÉ2 as part of The Sunday Game live programme, presented by Joanne Cantwell from the Croke Park pitch with analysis by Joe Canning, Dónal Óg Cusack and Liam Sheedy. Commentary on the game was provided by Marty Morrissey alongside Michael Duignan. The game was also televised on BBC Two, and streamed on iPlayer and GAA+.[8] [9][10]
Background
- Limerick were aiming to win their 13th All-Ireland title, and their first since 2023; they had been the dominant team in hurling in recent years, with All-Irelands in 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 and National Hurling League wins in 2019, 2020, 2023 and 2026.[11][12]
- Galway were aiming to win their 6th All-Ireland title and their first since 2017.[13][14]
- The fourth meeting of Galway and Limerick in the final. Limerick won in the 2018 final, while Galway were the winners when the two counties met in 1923 and 1980.[15]
