Takuhatachiji-hime (栲幡千千姫命) is a deity (kami) in Japanese mythology said to be the goddess of textiles.[1] According to the Kojiki, she is the daughter of Takamimusubi and married to the Ame-no-Oshihomimi, Amaterasu's eldest son, and gives birth to Ninigi-no-Mikoto.[1] Her exact genealogy varies in the different source texts, and sometimes she is replaced with an unspecified tamayori-hime (玉依姫; "divine bride") as wife of Ame-no-Oshihomimi, but the concepts of weaving and cloth remain constant.[2]
In the Kojiki, she is also referred to by the name Yorozuhata-hime-no-mikoto (万幡豊秋津師比売命).[2]
She is enshrined at Shiozawa Shrine in Fukushima Prefecture, Tsubaki Grand Shrine in Mie Prefecture, and Izuenashi Shrine in Osaka Prefecture.[1]
