Violent Vira (stylised as VIOLENT VIRA) is a Mexican-American singer and songwriter. She began releasing music independently in 2021, with her debut single "I Don't Care" released on September 24, 2021. Her first EP, Till' Death Was Never Enough, was released on August 4, 2023.

After releasing a series of independent singles between 2021 and 2023, Violent Vira signed with the independent label Mom + Pop Music in 2025.[1][2] That year, she released singles including "Saccharine" and "Common Decency".[3] She also performed at the 2025 edition of Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky.[4][5][6]

Musical career

Independent releases

Signing with Mom + Pop and 2025 releases

Violent Vira signed with Mom + Pop Music in early 2025.[1] The label listed her on its artist roster in 2025.[7]

In January 2025, Violent Vira released the single "Saccharine" through the independent record label Mom + Pop Music. The song was produced by Jennifer Decilveo.[8] The singles "Burn Me With a Bible" and "Common Decency" followed later in 2025, ahead of the release of her full-length album, Lover of a Ghost.[9]

In 2025, Violent Vira undertook the Chasing Ghosts North American Tour, with BRAYTON and Ivri as opening acts. Phoenix New Times reported that her performance at The Van Buren in Phoenix drew almost 1,800 attendees.[10] She also performed at Louder Than Life 2025,[4][5][6] Riot Fest 2025[11] and Aftershock Festival 2025.[12]

2026 touring

In early 2026, Violent Vira was announced as a support act for Kim Dracula's European and UK tour, alongside VOWWS.[13] She was also announced as an opening act for Babymetal's 2026 North America and Latin America headline tour with Halestorm.[14]
