The Final Problem (Spanish: El problema final) is an upcoming Spanish murder mystery television series based on the 2023 novel by Arturo Pérez-Reverte.

Plot

In 1959, thirteen people arrive on a small islet off the coast of Mallorca. Among them is Benjamin Basil, a retired actor famed for his longtime cinematic portrayal of Sherlock Holmes. When one of the guests is found murdered, and the group is cut off from help by a terrible storm, Basil must play detective for real.[1]

Filming had commenced on the series by May 2025.[3][4] In May 2026, the main cast was formally confirmed.[5]

Release

The series, which will consist of 5 episodes, will release on September 25, 2026.[6][7][8]
