testolic acid

The enzyme characterised from Cephalosporium acremonium hydrolyses the steroid, testololactone, to testolic acid.[1][2]

This enzyme belongs to the family of hydrolases, specifically those acting on carboxylic ester bonds. The systematic name testololactone lactonohydrolase.[3]
