Stadio Giovanni Paolo II, also known by its commercial name Nuovarredo Arena, is a football stadium in Francavilla Fontana, in the province of Brindisi, Apulia, Italy.[1] It is the home stadium of Virtus Francavilla Calcio.[2]

Redevelopment

In preparation for the 2026 Mediterranean Games, the stadium underwent redevelopment costing approximately €4.1 million.[3] The works included new covered seating, roofing of the south stand and upgrades to the stadium's power systems. The redevelopment increased the stadium's capacity to approximately 4,700 seats.[4]

The stadium is hosting football matches during the 2026 Mediterranean Games, including group-stage matches in the men's and women's tournaments.[5][6]
