Spyros Antonopoulos (Greek: Σπύρος Αντωνόπουλος) is a Greek football manager who is the current head coach of Super League Greece 2 club Panachaiki. He made history in November 2025 by becoming the first manager hailing from the Elis regional unit to take charge of the Patras-based club.[1][2]
Career
Antonopoulos previously managed Paniliakos, a prominent club from his home region of Elis, discussing his tenure and tactical approach in regional sports media.[3]
In late 2025, he had a managerial spell at Zakynthos in the Gamma Ethniki, departing the island club in November 2025.[4]
Immediately following his departure from Zakynthos, Antonopoulos was appointed as the head coach of Panachaiki.[2] His tenure saw competitive league outings where he frequently emphasized post-match that scorelines did not reflect his team's superior performances.[5] He prioritized fostering a highly competitive "team-family" dynamic, aiming to push Panachaiki higher up the league hierarchy.[6][7] Following positive performances, his contract with the club was extended to maintain stability.[8]
