Mother Foucault's Bookshop is an independent bookstore in Portland, Oregon's Buckman neighborhood, in the United States.[1][2] Craig Florence is the owner.[3][4]
The business was established in 2011.[5] It originally operated on Southeast Morrison Street. It later relocated to Grand Avenue. The interior has a antiques, artwork,[6] a fake fireplace, and Persian carpets.[7][8] There is also a bar, a catwalk, a stage,[9] and a piano.[3][10] The shop has hosted poetry readings[11] and other activities, such as a zine release party.[12]
Following a fundraising effort,[13] the business purchased the building in which it operates in 2026.[14][15]
