The awards honoured films and individuals for their work in various categories, including feature films, performances, direction, screenwriting, music, and technical achievements. Eligible entries were films certified and released within the prescribed period in accordance with the rules and guidelines issued for the 2022 awards. The awards formed part of the state's official recognition of contributions to the development of the film industry in Manipur. The official award ceremony took place at the Palace Auditorium of the MSFDS complex in Imphal, Manipur.[1]
