List of Maryland General Assembly sessions

The following is a list of legislative sessions of the Maryland General Assembly, the law-making branch of government of the U.S. state of Maryland. The Assembly traces its history back to the establishment of the Province of Maryland as an English colony in 1634. The Assembly was prorogued in 1774, but its members gathered at the Annapolis Convention to declare independence from the British crown, join the Continental Congress, and draft the Maryland Constitution of 1776. Maryland ratified the United States Constitution on April 28, 1788.
