Ischnura perparva, the western forktail, is a species of narrow-winged damselfly in the family Coenagrionidae. It is found in North America.[2][3][1][4]
The IUCN conservation status of Ischnura perparva is "LC", least concern, with no immediate threat to the species' survival. The population is stable. The IUCN status was reviewed in 2017.[1][5][6]
Ischnura perparva is most closely related to I. cervula, and belongs to a clade of damselflies that also includes I. verticalis, I. posita, I. damula, and I. demorsa.[7]
