I Think I Spoke Too Soon is the upcoming second studio album by English singer-songwriter Rachel Chinouriri, due to be released on 16 October 2026 through Parlophone, with distribution from Atlas Artists. Collaborators include Mary Weitz and Lucy Dacus.[1]
Background
In 2024, Chinouriri released her debut studio album, What a Devastating Turn of Events, to critical acclaim.[2][3] This was followed up in 2025 by the EP Little House, which critics speculated served as a preview to the sound of her second studio album.[4]
Promotion
The album was announced on 29 July 2026, alongside the release of the lead single, "One Song Away From Crying", and the announcement of a headline tour.[5]
In a July 2026 interview with The Guardian, Chinouriri gave some context to the album's title:[6]
In my early 20s, I was so self-assured of who I was, then my frontal lobe hit and I went: 'Nah, I’m actually not that person.' I feel the shift. I thought I knew myself. Now I look in the mirror and I’m like: 'Is this actually who I am?'
