Category:Vertically scrolling video games

The main article for this category is Vertically scrolling video game.

In vertically scrolling video games the entire playfield isn't visible at once and extends off the top and bottom of the screen. The game scrolls to follow the player's position. Some vertically scrolling games have a small amount of horizontal scrolling as well (such as Front Line), but the game world is primarily vertical.
