The shell has prominent axial ribs crossed by finer spiral cords, forming a reticulated pattern. Its coloration ranges from beige to brown with darker bands, and the animal has a translucent body marked with white spots.[3]

Raphitoma antipolitana is a Mediterranean marine species currently known from the French Mediterranean coast, particularly its type locality at Antibes in southeastern France, as well as Corsica. It occurs in the infralittoral zone and is mainly found beneath stones. A probable record has also been reported from the Calanques National Park in the Bouches-du-Rhône.[4]
