Adria (region)

Adria or Eastern Adria is a region in Europe.

The name is derived from the Adriatic Sea, which is to the west of the region. The term is meant to replace the more geo-political term Western Balkans and the historical term Ex-Yugoslavia.[1]
Location
The region is located on the western coast of the Balkans, east of the Adriatic Sea and encompasses Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia.[2][3][4][5]
In Culture
The name is mostly used in television programming, such as the program X Factor Adria or TV channels such as Adria TV or MTV Adria, or in business, such as with the service provider Adria Telekom.
