The Constituent Assembly (Arabic: الجمعية التأسيسية), was the unicameral parliament of the Second Syrian Republic in 1949 and 1950. It was tasked with drafting the new Constitution of the Syrian Republic after the fall of Hosni al-Zaim's rule.
After the adoption of the 1950 Constitution of Syria, per a transitional provision, the Constituent Assembly changed it name to Chamber of Deputies.[1][2]
